Mudakathan Dosa
We make mudakathan dosa with mudakathan leaves and other valuable things, let us see the ingredients for making and steps for preparation below
Ingredients
- Idli-Dosa flour – 2 cups
- Mudakathan keerai
- Mint leaves – 1 handful
- Coriander leaves – 1 handful
- Green chilies – 3
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Black Salt - 2 pinch
- Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp
- Ghats Honey - Mudakathan
Preparation
- Take a mudakathan keerai in the bunch, immerse it in water, wash it thoroughly and drain it in a colander. Removing only the leaves and discarding the stems and vines, also wash and drain mint and coriander leaves.
- Mix mudakathan keerai leaves, mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, cumin seeds, and sendha namak (black salt) in a mixie jar.
- Blend with 1-2 tablespoons of water to a smooth paste.
- This paste can either be homemade or store-bought. Mix it into the idli-dosa batter.
- Stir the batter well using a ladle. Pour a little more water into the mixie jar, rinse, and add it to the batter, then thin it to a pourable consistency.
- Spread a ladle of batter over a hot Tawa or girdle and drizzle a few drops of oil around.
- Let the side cook for 1-2 minutes over medium heat.
- Cook the other side of the dosa for a few seconds before flipping it over, finally add 1 tablespoon of Mudakathan Honey over both sides of the dosa and get the yummy taste.
- Continuing with the rest of the batter, transfer to a plate.
